The rise of urban agriculture and the new food revolution Jennifer Cockrall-King is a Canadian journalist and author whose articles have been published many of Canada’s leading magazines and newspapers and publications such as the Chicago Sun, National Post, Macleans and others in the US. She hosts the blog FoodGirl and in her hometown in British Columbia, she is the founder of the Okanagan Food Writers workshop to introduce food writers to major issues concerning food sustainability. She is the author of “Food and The City: Urban Agriculture and The New Food Revolution”, which explores the global movements in urban agriculture and urban food issues and attempts to redefine food, other than industrial agriculture, for the years ahead..
