Professor Henry Giroux holds the Global Television Network Chair of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University in Ontario Canada. He was previously the Waterbury Chair Professor at Penn State University and Director of the Forum in Education and Cultural Studies.
Professor Giroux is a leader in the field known as critical and public pedagogy – a term to describe the nature of spectacle in our new media, body politic and corporate education. He is a prominent advocate of radical democracy, which opposes the powers of neoliberalism, corporatism, and religious fundamentalism that is now diminishing our population’s sense of civic virtue, free-thought and well being. He has been named among the top fifty educational thinkers of the modern Period.
Henry has authored many books, his most recent being “Twilight of the Social: Resurgent Publics in the Age of Disposability”

Professor John Mueller is the Woody Hayes Chair of National Security Studies at the Mershon Center at Ohio State University, where he is also a professor of political science.  He is also a senior fellow at the Cato Institute think tank. His areas of special research include international and foreign policies, democratization and terrorism and national security measure related to the war on terror.
Professor Mueller is the author of several books focusing on national security, including “Terror, Security and Money: Balancing the Risks, Costs and Benefits of Homeland Security” and “Atomic Obsession: Nuclear Alarmism from Hiroshima to Al-Qaeda, both published by Oxford University Press.  His more recent research paper – “The Terrorism Delusion: America’s Overwrought Response to September 11 appears in the Summer issue of International Security journal and is available online. It is an important deconstruction of the evidence behind serious terrorist threats that government and media would like us to believe.

Dr. Lucija Tomljenovic is an early career postdoctoral fellow. She received her PhD in Biochemistry, from the Comparative Genomics Centre at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. In 2010, she joined the Neural Dynamics Research Group at the University of British Columbia to work on with renowned neuroscientist Prof. Christopher Shaw’s and is currently researching the neurotoxic effects of aluminum vaccine adjuvants.
