Nutrition, plant based diets for preventing and reversing disease
Dr. Thomas Campbell is the medical director of the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and the co-founder and clinical director of the University of Rochester's program for Nutrition in Medicine, a groundbreaking, clinical oriented approach to prevention and treatment of illnesses through diet and lifestyle changes. He is a co-author with his father, the renowned Cornell University nutritional biochemist Colin Campbell of the famous China Study, which gave clear scientific evidence linking a meat based diet to cancer and cardiovascular disease. Tom is a graduate of Cornell and received his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. Dr. Timothy Fior has been practicing integral or complementary family medicine, including plant based medicine and meditation, and homeopathy for 29 years and is the founding medical partner at the Center for Integral Health in Lombard Illinois, near Chicago. He has been a vegetarian for the same amount of time. Dr.Fior is a co-founder and former president of the Illinois Homeopathic Medical association and its current vice president. He lectures frequently on homeopathy at medical schools, regularly teaches the homeopathic section at the University of Illinois Medical School and is a lecturer at the National University of the Health Sciences' naturopathic program. He is the author of Essentials of Homeopathic Medicine and a contributing author to Rajinder Singh's book Meditation as Medication. Dr. Paul Giles is an osteopathic physician and Family Medical Practitioner practicing in Maryland. Fluent in American sign language he was the team physician for Team USA the Deaflympics in Bulgaria in 2013. Paul also teaches regularly for the annual American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Board Review. He holds a degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Texas and received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and did further studies in Sports Medicine.
