The Gary Null Show is here to inform you on the best news in health, healing, the environment.
The coronavirus pandemic has not only been an inconvenience for many, it has also presented a life changing angst and challenge for millions of Americans who are worried about the future. Many cities, such as Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle, are roiling in protest and conflict.  What has been unleashed will only accelerate.  As 45 million people have already lost their jobs and unemployment continues to rise, police departments are being stripped down or defunded. We may expect 75% of those unemployed during the past several months will not have jobs to return after businesses reopen. This can have enormous consequences as more bankruptcies lie ahead and people become financially and socially disenfranchised.  Not everyone will make it into the life boat.
However the acceleration of economic and social breakdown is also opening up new opportunities. Throughout the country, intentional communities are increasing and many progressive towns are aggressively preparing for a potential dystopian future. There are also many practical steps people can make now and wherever they live.

Dr. Rupert Sheldrake is a British biochemist and plant physiologist who has experimented with innovative field theories in plants and animals, including humans, to account for the causative formation of the deeper structures of biological development and collective consciousness.  Dr. Sheldrake has been a fellow at Cambridge University, a Frank Knox Fellow at Harvard and a Research Fellow of the British Royal Society. His research has included efforts to reach a greater understanding of memory, perception, cognition and the debate over consciousness.  For two years he lived in a Benedictine Christian ashram in South India under the guidance of the late sage Father Bede Griffiths -- who was also very close to Andrew Harvey who has frequently been on this program.  Over the past several decades Rupert developed his theory of morphic resonance and morphogenic fields.  He has written extensively on morphogenic theory since the publication “A New Science of Life “in 1981.  His most recent book is "Ways to Go Beyond and Why They Work," which presents various spiritual practices and ways that for everyday activities to have spiritual meaning for the scientific age we have now entered.  His website is Sheldrake.org

Wikipedia's Culture of Editorial Sadism
Richard Gale and Gary Null PhD
Progressive Radio Network, June 17, 2020
Perhaps the greatest farce in the modern history of technology is the perception of Wikipedia as a legitimate encyclopedia. It has none of the qualifications as such but has all of the characteristics of a compromised propaganda machine disguised as an encyclopedia.
An authentic encyclopedia is transparent. Users can review the qualifications and expertise of its contributors. There is no personal animus or bias. If anything, these are people who are acutely conscious of the facts regarding any given subject. There is no whitewashing, no recasting or repurposing of negative content into positive opinions or vice versa. If an error is detected, it can be quickly corrected.
Now compare that with Wikipedia where there are over 100,000 editors who are mostly anonymous. Expertise in the field that any of these anonymous contributors are editing is not required.  The hypothesis that through Wikipedia's backdoor platforms that discussion, debate and argument can eventually reach a consensus that reflects the facts and truth on a subject is not only unrealistically idealist but notably naive.  This is conspicuously true for one subject that dwarfs all others -- health and medicine -- where content is radically recast as either acceptable, refutable, or worse assailed and slandered. Content that represents the medical orthodoxy and based upon the pharmaceutical paradigm is acceptable. Everything else is rejected and degraded under sarcastic terms as pseudoscience, quackery or lunatic charlatanry.

Society's Crisis Goes Deeper than Bad Police
Gary Null PhD
Progressive Radio Network, June 15, 2020

Growing up in the small West Virginian city of Parkersburg was like living in peaceful times where everyone knew their neighbors. The police did not wear bullet proof vests, carry semi-automatic weapons and taser guns, or bring in armored vehicles when there were social disturbances. There were no SWAT teams breaking doors nor racial profiling through Stop and Frisk policies.  People prided themselves in knowing there was a police officer living in their neighborhood. We all attended the same schools. The only segregated street historically for the Black community was called Sumner Street.
Yet all of that changed after the Second World War. In 1950, my best friend Tony Bartlett was an African American neighbor who lived down the street. If there was any racism, it was silent and hidden. However, I was just a kid, too young to appreciate the African American experience of systemic and repressive racism.
What I did know was that the police force could assure law and order without ever unholstering their guns.  My godfather was Russell Mawry who was the police chief. He said that for the majority of non violent crimes there was no need for heavy-handed tactics. Rather these were misdemeanors due to poor judgment by neighbors and could be handled peacefully.

Neoliberalism, Racial Violence and a Virus
Richard Gale and Gary Null PhD
Progressive Radio Network, June 9, 2020
The combination of the coronavirus pandemic and the eruption of large protests across the nation over the police murder of George Floyd and law enforcement's culture of racial violence is exposing the systemic hypocrisies among Democrats and Republicans alike. Liberal Democrats have been voicing their approval for the lockdown and social distancing to curb the spread of the CoV19 virus in defiance of Trump's egging on the Red states to reopen for business. Yet at the same time Democrats are pulling their weight behind the large gatherings of protesters. Over the weekend, estimates between 100,000 and 200,000 joined demonstrations in Washington DC. This would seem to contradict the benefits of lockdown guidelines.
On the other side of the aisle, the GOP and its conservative supporters undermine the severity of the COVID's risks and favor a return to business and life as usual. Now as the demonstrations continue to escalate, we find Trump's base criticizing demonstrators for endangering the public health by disregarding the lockdown. This bizarre Kaftaesque standoff between the political Left and Right is a sad theatrical tragedy because a critically important villain behind both the recession due to the shut down of business and the rise in a new civil rights protests is missing from the stage.  That is, the neoliberal regime of capital that today controls both parties.
