Operation Paperclip—its history and legacy

Annie Jacobsen is an independent journalist and author who writes about war, weapons, U.S. national security, government secrecy and military history. She is a former contributing editor for the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Her first major book was “Area 51” about the history of the US’s secret military base in the Nevada desert which became a best seller. Her most recent book just released this month is Operation Paperclip: The Secret Intelligence Program that Brought Nazi Scientists to America,” which is the most thorough study on the subject in print with new revelations from Annie’s filing Freedom of Information requests.  She is a graduate of Princeton University and her website is AnnieJacobson.com
