Prof. Brad Evans is a senior lecturer in international relations at the University of Bristol’s School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies in the UK.   He is also the founding director of the Histories of Violence Project, which researches the role and impact of violence in its many manifestations upon society and culture, and was the co-director of the international acclaimed film “Ten Years of Terror”  Brad has been a fellow at the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University and his articles appear in the Guardian, Al-Jazeera, Truthout, Counterpunch and other independent media outlets.  He is the co-author of a very recent book “Disposable Futures: The Seduction of Violence in the Age of Spectacle.”  His website is HistoriesOfViolence.com
