Caroline Fredrickson is the president of the American Constitution Society and a leader in the progressive movement dealing with civil and voting rights, labor law, marriage equality, women’s issues and anti-discrimination.  She is also a senior fellow at Demos and earlier was the director of the ACLU’s Washington legislative office and general counsel and legal director for NARAL Pro-Choice America. In the past Caroline has worked on the Congressional Hill as the chief of staff for Senator Maria Cantwell and deputy chief of staff for Senate leader Tom Daschle. She has a BA in Russian and East European studies from Yale and a JD from Columbia University Law School. Caroline is the author of “Under the Bus: How Workin Women are Being Run Over” which looks at the racist history that has led to today’s inequality of employment among American women and has made the US one of the worst nations in the developed world in protecting legal protections for women in the work place and in society. Dr. Guy McPherson is a professor emeritus of Natural Resources, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona.  He has specialized in forest resources, energy decline and climate change and their economic consequences. In the past he has also taught at Texas A&M and University of California at Berkeley.

Having become disillusioned with the American university environment and academia, and after attempts by university officials to silence his outspokenness about the human causes of climate change, Guy abandoned his tenured position as a full professor for ethical reasons of conscience.
