Opening a new trial case for Sirhan Sirhan, the accused lone assassin of Robert Kennedy -- and the evidence of the murder being a US intelligence-led operation.

William Pepper is an international civil and human rights attorney based in  New York best best known for representing Martin Luther King’s accused assassin, James Earl Ray. In 1967, Dr. King had reached out to Dr. Pepper regarding an essay he had written for Ramparts magazine concerning Vietnamese victims of American napalm missions. He  was present at Dr. King’s famous Riverside Church speech.  William was the citizens chairman for Robert Kennedy’s run for the Senate in Westchester Country and also a counsel for Robert Kennedy’s assassin Sirhan Sirhan arguing for a second shooter, a trial he is now trying to reopen in an international court.. William has received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Columbia, a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts, a Juris Doctoral degree from Boston College and also studied at the London School of Ecoomics and Political Science.  His most recent book -- “The Plot to Kill King: The Truth Behind the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr” published by Sky Horse Publishing --  is the result of 39 years of research and gathering of documentation and sworn testimonies on new confirmed information that will revise the history behind the assassination of Dr. King .

 John Whitehead is a civil attorney and author who has written, debated and practiced widely in the area of constitutional law and human rights for the the persecuted and oppressed. In 1982 he founded The Rutherford Institute, a non-profit civil liberties and human rights organization headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Institute provides legal services to defend civil liberties and programs to educate the public on issues affecting their Constitutional freedoms. John gained international renown for his role as co-counsel in Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit against President Clinton. He has filed numerous amicus briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court and has been co-counsel in several landmark Supreme Court cases.  John has been the subject of many newspaper, magazine and television profiles, ranging from Gentleman's Quarterly to CBS' 60 Minutes.  His most recent book is “Battlefield America: The War on the American People," which outlines the course America has taken to become a militarized police state.  And his website is Rutherford.org

A look at conditions in Tibet today and what we can learn about the role of joy in confronting the challenges in the Trump era

Professor Robert Thurman holds the Jay Zong Kah-pa Robert Thurman Chair of Indo-Tibetan Studies at Columbia University. He is the President of Tibet House US in New York City – which is dedicated to preserving Tibetan civilization. The New York Times has hailed Bob as the “leading American expert on Tibetan Buddhism.” And Time and People magazines listed him as one of 25 most influential Americans today.  In 1962, Prof. Thurman was ordained as a Buddhist monk by the Dalai Lama, with whom he has remained a close colleague to this day.  He is a passionate advocate not only for the rights of Tibetans but for human rights and social justice globally. He has been sought by policy makers on the Tibetan holocaust, and has testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  Bob has written many books on Tibetan culture, art, politics and Buddhism. His earlier book “Inner Revolution: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Real Happiness” laid down the argument that individual happiness is interrelated with the happiness of all which can serve as a guide for social activism as well. Medea Benjamin is a cofounder of the anti-war feminist organization Codepink and a co-founder of the international human rights organization Global Exchange.  For the past 20 years she has been been one of our nation's most high profile leaders and advocate in the movement for humanitarian, civil and social justice. In 2005 she was among other exemplary women nominated to receive a collective  Peace Prize for their efforts to promote peace.  She has been at the forefront of protesting the war efforts of Bush and Obama and now the further escalation of violence under Trump. Dr. Eric Rignot is the Chancellor Professor of Earth System Science at the University of California at Irvine's School of Physical Science and the principal scientist for the Radar Science and Engineering Section at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He has specialized in the mass balance of the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets, the interactions between ice shelves and ocean systems, ice sheet modeling, and climate change. His research group focuses on understanding the interactions between ice sheets, glaciers and climate, and the future of sea level change from melting ice sheets. He was a lead author of the IPCC FifthAssessment report in 2014 on climate change and has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed science publications. Eric holds a doctorate in engineering from the University of South California and masters degrees in astrophysics and aerospace engineering from the University of Paris and USC respectively.

 

James and Joanne Moriarty were a successful business couple living in Libya from 2007 until the overthrow and death of General Muammar Ghadafi in 2011. While in Libya, their business provided enzymes to rejuvenate oil wells and clean up sludge pits earning $5 billion. It was while building a manufacturing facility in Libya that the revolution began and NATO invaded. During the rioting and collapse of the Ghadafi government and the new rule of radical Islamic factions, the Moriarty’s and other foreigners attempting to leave on a rescue ship were captured and held by al-Qaeda-related militias, then eventually released. They have produced a video of their ordeal – Escape from Al-Qaeda, which includes evidence of the US and its allies planning of a forced coup well in advance. Professor Kiran Klaus Patel is the Jean Monnet Professor European and Global History at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He is also a fellow at the Royal Historial Society and has specialized in the history of President Roosevelt's New Deal, the Great Depression and the history of labor in Nazi Germany.  He received his degrees in history from the University of Freiburg and at Humboldt University in Berlin Germany.  he has published important studies on labor in Nazi Germany and New Deal America, and his most recent book -- "The New Deal: A Global History" has been recognized as a tour de force volume on a little known aspect of the New Deal's international impact.

Rolling Stone journalist David Black claimed Chuck's New York Native deserved a Pulitzer and New York Times called in "visionary."  Chuck has also written several novels, plays.
