Determining the threats from Fukushima

Dr. Christopher Busby is a chemical physicist who has specialized in the adverse effects of low level ionizing radiation. He is the currently the director Green Audit, the scientific advisor of the Low Level Radiation Campaign and a visiting professor at the University of Ulster’s School of Biomedical Sciences. Earlier he was a member of the British government’s Committee Examining Radiation Risks and was appointed to the British Ministry of Defense’s Oversight Committee on Depleted Uranium. He also serves a science advisor for UK’s Green Party.

In the past he has worked closely with Russian nuclear experts to determine the long-term effects of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster and has been an outspoken critic against the Japanese government’s handling of the Fukushima catastrophe and the failure of the international community to take decisive action in containing the radioactive reactor leaks that have continued for the past 3 years.
