Strengths and weaknesses of the Green New Deal and how the Democrats have become the new war party 

Dr. Ajamu Baraka has been a political asnd grassroots activist and defender of human rights, both at home and abroad, for over four decades.  He was Jill Stein's vice presidential running mate for the Green Party during the 2016 election, and was the founding Executive Director of the US Human Rights Network, the first American organization to committed to applying international human rights standards in the US.  The Network was responsible for identifying victims of Hurricane Katrina as internally displaced people. In the past he served on the boards of Amnesty International, the Center for Constitutional Rights, Africa Action, and Mississippi Workers' Center for Human Rights. Dr. Baraka has won notable awards for his human rights efforts including "Abolitionist of the Year from the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. He is currently an editor and columnist for the Black Agenda Report and an associate at the Institute of Policy Studies in DC.  Ajamu received his MA and doctorate from Clark University in Atlanta, and his website is AjamuBaraka.com
