The politics and corruption of the World Bank that are contributing to environmental destruction

Bruce Rich is an attorney who has spent three decades working with environmental groups and organizations, such as the Environmental Defense Fund and the Natural Resources Defense Council. His expertise is on public international finance and the environments. Bruce received the United Nations Global 500 Award for his public advocacy regarding the agendas and activities of multilateral development banks, such as the World Bank. His articles have been published in many sources including the Financial Times, The Ecologist and the Environmental Law Institute’s journal Environmental Forum.

Bruce has written several books dealing with our global environmental crises. His latest is “Foreclosing the Future: The World Bank and the Politics of Environmental Destruction,” which documents the Bank’s economic schema, corruption and the cost of its failures on the environment.
