The ways Monsanto fails at sustainable agriculture – and call to action to oppose Monsanto disinformation campaigns Dr. Doug Gurian Sherman is a senior scientist specializing in food biotechnology and sustainable agriculture for the Union of Concerned Scientists’ Food and Environment Program. Earlier he was a senior scientist at the Center for Food Safety and the co-director for the Center for Science in the Public Interest’s biotechnology project and had worked for the EPA to assess the human health and environmental risk impacts of transgenic plants and microorganisms. Dr. Gurian authored numerous peer reviewed papers and reports evaluating GMOs and other agricultural research.
