Erik Loomis is an assistant professor of history, global capitalism and labor and environmental movements at the University of Rhode Island. His work has covered the timber and steel industries, the history of labor strikes, and environmental movements.  Erik holds degrees from the universities of Oregon and Tennessee and received his doctorate from the University of New Mexico.  His website is LawyersGunsMoneyBlog.com and his most recent book is “Out of Sight: The Long Disturbing Story of Corporations Outsourcing Catastrophe,” which takes an in depth and hard look at how corporations protect themselves  through outsourcing and cheating made possible by runaway globalization.
