The US-Israeli-Saudi alliance and what it means for the future of the middle east 

Prof. Rashid Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University and the director of the Middle East Institute at the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. He also serves as the editor of the Journal of Palestinian Studies.  With a Palestinian heritage, he is world renown as an historian specializing in the history of national identity in the Middle East and the role of foreign powers in the region.  He has served as the president of the American Committee on Jerusalem, now known as the American Task force in Palestine, and has appeared on many notable programs such as The News Hour, Charlie Rose, Morning Edition and Nightline. Prof. Khalidi holds a bachelor degree from Yale and received his doctorate at Oxford University. In the past he has taught at the American University in Beirut, University of Chicago and Georgetown and has written many important books on Empire and the Palestinian struggle. His forthcoming book is “The Hundred Years War on Palestine.”
