Obama's and Trump's Militarization of Space
Bruce Gagnon is the Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space and the co-founder of the Global Network. For over three decades he has focused on the militarization of space and organized Florida's largest peace demonstration in opposition of the first test flight of the Trident 2 nuclear missile at Cape Canaveral. Several of his investigative reports have been recognized by Project Censored as the most censored stories during their respective years. In 2006 he received the Dr. Benjamin Spock Peacemaker Award. More recently Bruce has built support for the Jeju Island off of South Korea in opposition to the US's construction of a Navy base, which was featured in the documentary film Ghosts of Jeju, and has been going head to head against General Dynamics at the Bath Maine site that buildings war ships. His articles have appeared in the Earth Island Journal, Counterpunch, Asia Times, Commondreams, Space News and many other publications, and he is a co-author with Noam Chomsky and John Pilger of the recent book "Voices for Peace: War, Resistance, and America’s Quest for Full-spectrum Dominance." Dr. Gareth Porter is an award-winning historian, an independent investigative journalist and policy analyst who specializes in US geopolitics and national security issues. Prof Mark Crispin Miller is a professor of media, culture and communications at New York University where he specializes in modern propaganda, history of advertising, film and the major media. He is the lead chief editor of the series Forbidden Bookshelf, which republishes important books that have censored, banned, ignored or wrongly criticized in the course of American history -- such as works by IF Stone, Lewis Mumford, Peter Dale Scott, Christopher Simpson and others. Dr. Steven Jonas is a professor emeritus of preventive medicine at Stony Brook University, where he has taught since 1971, and the author and editor of 35 books and numerous articles in academic journals and alternative news sites including OpedNews and the Greanville Post, addressing national health policies and wellness, sports and politics. The criminalization of poverty in America
Professor Peter Edelman is the Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Law and Public Policy at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, and one of our nation's leading authorities on the economics, politics and law behind poverty, welfare and juvenile justice. He was the former legislative assistant to Senator Robert Kennedy up until Bobby's assassination, and went on to be the deputy director of the Robert F Kennedy Center for Human Rights. Prof Edelman was also a member of Bill Clinton's administration and famously resigned in opposition to Clinton's signing of welfare reform legislation. Earlier he was a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Arthur Goldberg, and he received his law degree from Harvard Law School. Peter is author of "Not a Crime to Be Poor: The Criminalization of Poverty in America."

Prof Michael Mann is Distinguished Research professor of sociology at the University of California Los Angeles and has specialized in fascism and how humans use and abuse power and perpetuate violence, including institutionalized ethnic cleansing. He is the author of the 4 volume series "The Sources of Social Power" which traces the history of power and its abuse in human societies from prehistorical times to the present. In 2003 Prof Mann published the important and insightful book "Incoherent Empire" critiques the US's war on terror as a clumsy experiment in neo-imperialism. And his a co-author of the more recent "Does Capitalism Have a Future" published by Oxford University Press. He holds a doctorate in sociology from Oxford in the UK as well as honorary doctorates from McGill University, University College Dublin, and the University of Aegean. He has also held teaching positions at Cambridge University, London School of Economics, Yale and elsewhere.
