Today's guest is Dr. Mark Weisbrot and he is the co-director, with Dean Baker (who has been a frequent guest on this program) of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington DC, specializing in domestic and international economic policy. He writes weekly column for the Guardian in the UK and is a frequently contributor ton economic policy issues for McClatchy news services and Brazil’s largest newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo.
Mark is also the President of Just Foreign Policy, an independent non profit organization dedicated to reforming US foreign policy based upon diplomacy, cooperation and international law.

Today's guest is Aileen Mee-o-yo Smith and she is the Executive Director of Green Action in Kyoto, Japan-- a citizens public protection organization founded in 1991 to stop Japan’s plutonium program and to shift the country’s emphasis on nuclear energy towards clean renewable. Aileen first became aware of the dangers of toxic waste in 1970, when she and her husband were documenting the human toll of mercury poisoning in the town of Minamata. Since then, she and her organization have become one of Japan’s leading and most effective voices challenging the production, commerce and transport of nuclear materials.

Today's guest is Lawrence Joseph and he is a seasoned investigative journalist who has been writing on science, nature, politics and business for over 25 years for such publications as the New York Times, Discover, Huffington and others.
During the past several years Larry has been conducting in depth research into the 2012 phenomenon – but not just the religious dimensions, , but science, such as contemporary solar physics, astronomical phenomena, and climatic changes.
His earlier book, “Apocalypse 2012: An Investigation into Civilization’s End” led to the creation of a website Apocalypse2012.com, which has already received over 20 million hits. His most recent book, “Aftermath: A Guide to Preparing for and Surviving Apocalypse 2012” has just been released and explores many of the scientifically founded crises such as solar activity, energy, polar cap melts, climate change and agriculture we are now facing.

Today's guest is Jim Pew and he is the attorney for the organization Earthjustice in Washington DC – a nonprofit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the environment, natural resources and wildlife. Jim has degrees from Stanford University, an MA in law from Cambridge in the UK, and a doctorate of law from the University of Pennsylvania. Before Earthjustice, he worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council and with private legal firms.
Jim, along with Earthjustice, have been spearheading efforts to curtail incinerator pollution by the fossil fuel energy industries and to preserve the Clean Air Act and the EPA’s authority to oversee it now under serious threat by the private energy cartels.

Today's guest is Dr. Larry Malerba and he is a board certified osteopathic physician and certified homeopathist practicing in Guilderland in upstate New York, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventative Medicine at New York Medical College. In the past he was the president of the Homeopathic Medical Society of the State of New York, and the first vice president of the American institute of Homeopathy. Larry has also served on the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct.
He is the author of a recent important book – “Green Medicine: Challenging the Assumptions of Conventional Medical Care” – which takes a hard look at the various failures of the present medical model for addressing the roots for preventing and treating disease.
